Ocean Globe Race works compliment
We were proud to support the Baltic 55, Outlaw AU during a recent refit locally, prior to the current Ocean Globe race. The yacht previous raced in the 1985/86 Whitbread. Skipper Campbell Mackie emailed during a rest break in New Zealand to thank us: “Thank you for all the work you did for us on Outlaw prior to our departure from Southampton. I inspect the gooseneck regularly and it is a comfort to know its solidly built and installed. The riggers in Auckland have admired your work.” Outlaw completed the 3rd Leg on 18th February. 35 days hard racing and completion of the notorious Cape Horn passage climaxed in the 3 boats finishing within 7 hours of each other. The Ocean Global Race update reports that Outlaw slipped over the line in style.
