A big thank you to our Year 1 Apprentice Myles England for supporting Spar-tec and Southampton Engineering Training Association (SETA) in promoting apprenticeship training at a recent Futures Fair at Crestwood School. As a formal pupil of Crestwood, Myles talked confidently to current students about his apprenticeship experiences. You can see some of his own work that was exhibited on the stand in the enclosed photo. SETA’s Engagement Services Co-ordinator joined Myles on the day and spoke of how passionately Myles spoke about his work and the course.

We are very pleased to welcome Myles England to the Spar-tec team. Myles has recently started his Metal Fabrication Standard in conjunction with Southampton Engineering Training Association and will spend the first 20 weeks full time at the Engineering College. He will then return to our Workshop to continue his studies in the more traditional day release format completing an NVQ & BTEC qualification along the way to his Fabrication Standard qualification.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Southampton Engineering Training Association (SETA) on Tuesday 7th February 2023. It was great to meet so many young people with a passion for engineering and talk to them about our apprenticeship vacancy for September 2023.
